The art of letter-writing is making a comeback, but it ain't your grandma's snail mail. Notes don't have to be just for special occasions, who says they can't be "just because"?
Nib and Pixel and LoweCo. are hosting a class that is great for calligraphers, non-calligraphers, penpals, and card-senders alike. Along with making pretty envelopes, you'll be receiving some of the cutest cards in town to fill those envelopes. LoweCo. cards are just the witty, fun, chic cards that anyone would be excited to receive in the mail. You'll be using brush markers, so no calligraphy experience is necessary.
The workshop will take place in Houston's Post Studio so for all you out there in or around the area, put it in your calendar! Our own Catherine Lowe will be present (for her last trip sans baby!) to talk about the art of note-writing and then Dionne from Nib and Pixel will teach you creative ways to letter and lay out your envelopes.
Definitely a fun workshop not to be missed! Click here to make sure you're on the list.
Duration: 2 hours
Class Size: 24 attendees
Catherine Lowe, the owner of Lowe Co., stole America's hearts when she won The Bachelor's heart on the hit ABC TV show. Part of her charm was passing little quirky notes that told him she was thinking about him, so she is an expert on cultivating the perfect message. Catherine has a background in design and a love for punny captions that both marry up nicely to make the cutest note cards you'll find.
Dionne Christiansen is the owner of Nib and Pixel, a Houston-based calligraphy and graphic design studio. She has been teaching calligraphy since 2013 and has a double bachelors degree in Graphic Design and Marketing. When she isn't creating for her clients, Dionne likes going on foodie adventures with her husband and two kidlets, collecting vintage plates and throwing dinner parties for friends and family.
